Contact Information
Please note: during periods when the office is closed, orders placed from this web site continue to be filled every business day from the shipping warehouse in Nampa, Idaho.
For questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. E-mail is by far the best contact method, although the Post Office is slow but sure. Either way, I cannot guarantee an immediate answer. I am not at the office every day. Also, I travel regularly, and am often away from the business for up to five weeks at a time.
I try to check e-mail at least once a day, even when I'm on the road, but I often cannot connect to e-mail during business hours, sometimes for as long as three or four weeks. If I don't reply immediately, please be patient.
I receive more than 1000 spam e-mails every day, so I have been forced to implement a very aggressive spam filter. If you send a plain text e-mail the spam filter will recognize it as valid. The fancier your e-mails are, the more html, smileys, icons, graphics, etc. that you include, the more likely the spam filter will block it. To be safe, send plain-text e-mails.
Local pickup in Calgary is not possible, because nothing is in stock in Calgary. It has proven impractical to try and maintain adequate stocks in both Calgary and Nampa.

Unfortunately, telephone contact is not possible.
I have no way of processing payments for telephone orders. My card processor can only process payments placed on the Web site by the person to whom the card has been issued. There is no getting around this.
I work alone, and I do not keep regular office hours. I am away from the business for up to five weeks at a time. Messages on the answering machine degenerate into days, sometimes weeks, of telephone tag.
I know, you're used to solving a problem by picking up the phone, dialing the customer service number, and getting questions answered and problems dealt with pretty much immediately. I wish I could offer that level of service, but I can't. I'm sorry, but my business is far too small. By e-mail, yes, definitely. By phone, no.

There is a real person behind
this business. No, I'm not a giant. That's a very, very tiny SLR, a Pentax
110 that uses 110 film. It's a wonderful little camera. Legal Notices Frugal Photographer is a business unit of Adox Fotowerke, Inc., of Calgary. Adox Fotowerke, Inc. is a

We have customers on every continent on the planet, including Antarctica -- a customer of ours went there and took along the same kind of Vest Pocket Kodak that Admiral Byrd used, and went to the places Byrd had been, and shot several rolls of 127 film that she had bought from this site.
We've been operating this store on the Web since September 1, 2001.
